Daily Success 12/23/2012 – Gideon’s weight was out of control!

Yes, I have Type 1 Diabetes. But I never took it seriously. I figured as long as I take my insulin, I could eat whatever I wanted, right? Wrong. I thought I was in good shape—until the day I stepped on the scale and realized my out-of-control eating was putting me in real danger.

That’s when I realized I had to act fast. I knew my friend Jason had gotten awesome results from P90X, so I figured, that was my best hope. I tried P90X at the start of my journey and I was so out-of-shape, it took everything I had to get through the fitness test. So I switched to Power 90. It was tough, but I kept with it.

And that’s when I learned the greatest lesson of my life. In the past, if I slipped just once, I would give up. I’d quit. I was programed to fail. But Tony taught me to set realistic goals and NOT BEAT MYSELF UP.

That inspiration carried me through Power 90 and P90X. I lost 60 lbs., lowered my cholesterol, dropped 8 inches off my waist—and gained control over my diabetes! I’m using 50% less insulin, and I’m determined to keep going!

Daily Success 12/22/2012 – Tanner was skinny and didn’t know his potential until…

I played sports, but I was always a ‘skinny fat guy,’ so I never really played to my potential. I knew it, but I guess I didn’t really care enough to get serious about getting my act together.

Until I did P90X—and I was hooked. I lost 25 pounds and suddenly I was lighter than I had been in high school. It was awesome. Then, I was ready for more. I ordered P90X2 and it arrived the day my daughter was delivered. I was psyched. I was determined to get into awesome shape, because I always wanted to be the father my daughter would brag about!

Now I’m in the best shape of my life. I’m not afraid to take on any challenge. This summer, I finished 53rd out of 4,000+ in the Spartan Mud run, and next I’m going to run the Tough Mudder, which looks crazy!

Daily Success 12/19/2012 – Christy was a mess after 30 years of dieting

Growing up, I always had to watch my weight. After I had children, I went on a roller coaster of dieting—I was the “Queen of Dieting” through my 20’s, 30’s and 40s. As I headed for the dreaded “50” mark, I was a mess. Too heavy. My blood pressure out of control. I absolutely hated myself.

When I started having heart palpitations, my doctor threatened blood pressure meds. I just wasn’t going to let that happen. So on January 1, 2012, I started Les Mills Pump and FELL IN LOVE!!! The first month, I lost 7 lbs. and 8.5 inches. I knew I had found my soul mate workout Then I added Shakeology and TurboFire and I was rocking.

At 51, I’m in the best shape of my life. So far, I’ve lost 28 pounds and my blood pressure went from 165/89 to a nice normal range of 119/64! My doctor was shocked and he’s so proud. I owe it all to Shakeology and Chalene for all the high energy she brings to my TV. I’m so pyched for LES MILLS COMBAT, I’ve already ordered it!

Daily Success 12/17/2012 – Tai Cheng brought her zen


I just… I felt fat and ugly. But I couldn’t stop eating. All the time. The unhealthiest foods, too!

The absolute worst was getting dressed for work. I knew my coworkers were super judgmental about weight. So I’d end up just standing there in the mirror criticizing myself!

Yes, I wanted to exercise, and I had high cholesterol, but I also had some physical issues that kept me from doing anything high-impact. Convinced that I couldn’t change my body no matter what, I became almost completely sedentary and depressed.

But one day on Facebook® I saw a former colleague of mine posting her results with Tai Cheng® and Shakeology®. It was incredibly motivating. But I was still convinced nothing could be done for me.

I was 100% wrong.

Tai Cheng and Shakeology have changed my life in so many ways. I’m more flexible now. I jump up instead of standing up slowly. I have more energy and stamina. At a recent doctor’s visit he praised me for my hard work. I’d lowered my cholesterol by 58 points, and had lost 22 pounds since our last visit—without medication—and he took me off one of my blood pressure meds too.

He even gave me a high five. My doctor!

I feel more confident and I’m getting compliments all the time. My husband tells me I’m melting away. And all I could say back to him was, “this is only the beginning.”

Daily Success 12/13/2012 – Gregg gained 30 lbs of sympathy weight

“I have always been in pretty good shape, but when my wife got pregnant, I gained 30 pounds in “sympathy” weight. I guess I traded working out for pigging out. And it showed.

Especially after my twin brother (who had always been the heavier one) started doing P90X. So it was my bro who motivated me. When I saw how he was doing, I knew I had to “bring it” to get results.

After my wife gave birth, it was hard to find time to work out, but I kept pressing play. After the first 30 days, I noticed that I had more energy. My face was thinner. And I was keeping up with most of the people in the video!

When I started using Shakeology, my results rocked! Then I bought P90X2 and loved it. I did RevAbs and my back pain went away. But I still had pounds to shed, so I manned up and did INSANITY. It was insane, but so far I’ve lost almost 50 pounds and 6 pant sizes. I weigh under 200 pounds for the first time since high school. My blood pressure has gone down. I don’t need medication for my heartburn.

And I’ve become a Beachbody Coach, helping others get in the best shape of their lives. Beachbody has completely changed my life and now, instead of pigging out, I’m addicted to working out. Thanks Beachbody!”

Daily Success 12/12/2012 – Judy kicked her addiction to coffee and dropped 11 lbs in 21 days!

My clothes were tight and didn’t fit. I was foggy-headed and couldn’t concentrate. I didn’t have energy to do anything except sit on the couch. I couldn’t lose weight no matter what I tried. And yeah, I was starting to hit the dreaded pre-menopause years.

I just assumed this was how it was always going to be. Great.

Something had to change. Drastically. So I decided to give the Ultimate Reset a try. I really felt like my body had to de-toxify if I was ever going to get back to my old self.

Guess what? It worked. I felt fantastic. My cholesterol dropped by 102 points. I lost 11 pounds. I’m no longer addicted to coffee. I need less sleep. I’m clear headed. And I have so much energy. I feel like I can accomplish anything I set my mind to do. And I FEEL 20 YEARS YOUNGER!

Daily Success 12/10/2012 Josh finally made his commitment with P90X2

“I’ve been going to the gym since junior high, but I never got great results. My nutrition was horrible, I was a fast food junkie, ate tons of sugar, had a gut and I wasn’t happy at all.

I used to watch the P90X infomercial and say, “yeah, ok.” But when I finally met a guy who did P90X and saw the results he got, I decided it was time to get fit—-truly fit. So I did P90X, got awesome results. Then I slipped back to my old habits.

Maybe it was because I was working 10 to 12 hours a day, going to school and struggling to find time for my wife and four daughters. Maybe it was just that I needed another challenge.

But when I heard that P90X2 was coming out, I hoped it would be the program that would light the fire within me again. And boy did it ever! Combining the moves along with a sound diet and supplementation with Shakeology gave me the abs I was looking for-—in just 90 days! I lost fat. I got fit. I got more muscular.

But even more important—-I got happier and more outgoing. My day revolves around making healthy choices for myself and my family. I am constantly spreading the word about health and fitness and how Beachbody has changed my life. And this time, I am never going to stop Pushing Play!”

CoachGShort’s Newletter 12/9/2012 – Tips for the New Years

Here comes New Years!  We now only have three weeks until the New Year starts and that means New Year resolutions for many of us, but how many of us have made these resolution but failed to achieve those resolutions?  Here are a few tips that can help with making sure that you meet those goals this year and while these can be applied to any goals we are going to focus on working out.

  1. Set realistic goals – This can be difficult as we only have the results of others  when we are starting out.  So I recommend that people shoot for a 1/2 lbs. per week if you are trying to lose weight.  An example of a non-realistic goal is something like “I will not eat out all year” when you eat out 3-4 times a week.  Start small and workout up to your goal.  “I will only eat out 2-3 times a week.  This will only require a small change into your life.
  2. Plan ahead – Those that fail to plan, plan to fail.  Time is one if not the most valuable thing that we have, and is one of the things that we tend to waste the most of.  When setting a goal making sure that we schedule when we are going to be working on that goal(s) is essential.
  3. Outline Your Plan – Along with planning when you are going to work on your resolution it is important to make sure that you know what to do with the time that you have set aside for your resolution.  This is where BeachBody Programs come in so handy.  Set aside the time and follow the plan and you will improve.
  4. Why did you make your resolution? – Making a “Pro” and “Con” list will help you stay on track during the hard days.  Most resolution are a Marathon and not a Sprint meaning that we are working to change habits in our lives and that takes time.  So focusing on what we are able to do when we achieve our goals can help us push ourselves.
  5. Talk about it!  This is where accountability groups and having a coach comes in.  By having people to talk to and hold you accountable you are more likely to accomplish our set goals.  There is power in numbers and having a group of people going through the same thing that you are working towards can help motivation.  Having a coach to talk to and direct you will allow you direction when you are struggling.
  6. Reward Yourself – Having a goal that you are going to give yourself when you accomplish your resolution will give you the extra push for you to keep pushing forward.  Just make sure that your reward is not counterproductive to you goal.  Also remember with the Beachbody Challenge you always get a free t-shirt and the chance to win up to $100K!
