As a physical therapist and a former college athlete, I was a relatively active person. But I knew I was capable of a healthier, more productive life—especially with my diet. I knew I was better than late night ice cream trips or fast-food cheeseburgers for dinner.
And that’s where P90X2 changed my life by providing an awesome workout and a solid, fool-proof “map” to success. For me, it was as easy as learning the percentages of macronutrients—protein, carbohydrates and fat—and “Pushing Play” five days a week.
Another huge help was my Facebook group—the X2 Crew. We were all doing P90X2 for the first time. We were all on the same schedule. We all shared nutrition ideas, recipes, workout ideas, and even had challenges with each other. It was a “game changer”—having the support of so many people was what I had been missing in my fitness.
And it helped. I had great results through P90X2. I received numerous compliments from my family, friends, and coworkers about my new look. I achieved my goal of losing unhealthy body weight while building lean, “cut” muscle. And I am now better able to do my job as a physical therapist.
Best of all, P90X2 and the nutrition guide helped me not only to succeed for 90 days, but also to continue my new lifestyle beyond the 90 days… for the rest of my life.
I can’t remember the last time my weight wasn’t on my mind. It has been a constant battle since I was 9. I was the girl who spent tons of money on trainers. I’d go the first week, then find excuses to stop. I’d do CRAZY diets, then quit and gain everything back. I was completely unhealthy.
When I was at my heaviest, I was sitting on the couch one night eating chocolate when I came across an INSANITY infomercial. I was so impressed with the results that people were having that I decided to Google “insanity” and “insanity results.” I stayed up ‘til 4 am looking at transformations and wishing it was me.
Best of all, I convinced myself to stop wishing and start doing! One of the transformations that caught my eye was from a Beachbody Coach named Melinda. I emailed her and the next day she replied. She asked about me and asked about my goals, then sent me some info about TurboFire and said I would love it.
She was so right. The punching, kicking and jumping keeps me pumped throughout the whole day. The music is AMAZING and Chalene motivates me to keep doing more than I did the last time. I FEEL AMAZING! I can say for the first time that I am HAPPY, HEALTHY, and PROUD. I still have to pinch myself to believe it, but I lost 26.5 lbs. with 90 days of TurboFire.
And I’m a completely changed person. There’s no room for negativity in my life. I didn’t stop with TurboFire. I’m now doing P90X and I’m planning to BRING IT with another program.
Best of all, I feel like my results can inspire people to become fit and healthy. I learned that I am much stronger than I thought and am capable of achieving my goals through hard work. I’m happy.
Before I started my journey, I was on a 4 cheeseburger, 2 large pizza, beer, no exercise kind of lifestyle. I had zero focus. Could care less about my health. The image I saw in the mirror each day was of a person who had no passion about life. It was a downward spiral. No hope of living a long and happy life.
But once my kids came along, everything changed.
I started with P90X®. I was the beginning of my journey. It taught me how to work out at home. Now I am doing Body Beast® I wanted something to help build some mass while burning off the fat. Beast is the perfect workout for someone like me.
So far, I have lost about 160 pounds, altogether using various Beachbody programs—P90X, INSANITY, Body Beast, Shakeology, the Ultimate Reset, etc. The weight loss has to be my biggest accomplishment. But now that I’m doing Body Beast, I have packed on about 15 pounds of muscle. So my journey is transforming. Taking me places I never could have imagined.
I have gone from a couch potato to a fitness warrior. My life has been given back to me. I would have been dead by 40. Now age is just a number. I eat for success, not satisfaction. I use the food tracker to keep track of every piece of food that goes in my mouth. I complete marathons, warrior dashes, Spartan runs.

I have always been an athlete, a trainer, and a contestant in fitness shows, but developed medical issues that produced sudden weight gain. After numerous tests, I had a medical condition where one of the symptoms is weight gain. The more weight I put on the more embarrassed I became.
Fortunately I began dating my future husband who had great success with P90X by losing 100 pounds. After a lack of success with different fitness routines, my boyfriend suggested I try the INSANITY program.
It was the best decision I ever made. I found it incredibly challenging and broke a sweat every workout. However one of the biggest factors that made all the difference was the INSANITY meal plan. I was allowed my healthy carbohydrates (rice, beans, sweet potatoes, oats) healthy fats (nuts avocados, healthy oils) and lean protein, along with fruits and veggies.
I lost 17 pounds, which may not seem like a lot until you look at 3 five-pound bags of sugar in the grocery market. On the other hand, I gained some things too. I kicked processed food to the curb for organic and natural food. I regained my body and my confidence. After not competing for 3 years due to my medical condition and weight gain, I was able to step on stage and compete in a worldwide fitness show in Las Vegas in November 2012.
Best of all, the INSANITY program changed my medical condition, has allowed me to maintain the health I have and also the confidence I desire as I go about my everyday life.
