Daily Success 4/17/2013 – I was disgusted with myself, and had been my whole life

Before losing 92 lbs. with P90X, INSANITY, and Asylum Vol 1, I was disgusted with myself, and had been my whole life. I can’t even recall the number of times I tried losing weight, but nothing ever worked—I was still the fat kid. Failing to achieve my goals would depress the heck out of me and I’d fall back into my bad habits, and there were many. Sadly, it took getting a DUI at 22 for me hit rock bottom and finally decide that enough was enough! I was tired of being fat. I was tired of being depressed. And I was tired of being unhealthy.

To lose all that weight, I spent 9 months busting my butt doing 2 rounds of P90X, and one each of INSANITY and Asylum—which is by far my favorite workout because it tested my body in ways I never imagined! More than anything, I love Shaun T.’s intensity and how he pushes you during workouts. It feels like you are in the same room with him so you give it your all. Specifically, I love the sports drills and the use of the agility ladder, weights, and jump rope. It substantially stepped up my performance and trained me like an athlete. But there were tough days too, and that’s why I’m so thankful for my Challenge Group, Team RockStarFit, and for my wonderful coach, Angie K. She answered all my questions while continually inspiring me to push harder—I couldn’t have done it without her and can’t thank her enough!

I also want to give the same shout out to Trina G. and Nickie C. because they too inspired me on all cylinders and kept me motivated in pursuing my journey and guiding me in the right direction with Team Beachbody. I feel like I was truly meant to find them and Team Beachbody and am truly committed to succeeding and being that person who lifts people up and changes their lives. Thanks guys for all of your help and changing my life!

During my weight loss and muscle building journey, I actually fell in love with eating healthy and now look at food as a lifestyle, not a diet. I also just started drinking Shakeology, which has helped me so much with my results. I love the fact that I’m giving my body everything it needs and deserves.

And while I’m extremely proud of my physical transformation, I never imagined it would alter my mind the way it has. My mentality is through the roof and I truly believe I can accomplish ANYTHING in life. Plus, it’s no longer a drag going to the doctor. Not only have I impressed myself, but my dr. just told me that I’m one of his healthiest and fittest patients, and he can’t believe how much I’ve changed in less than a year. Heck, I can’t believe how much I’ve changed. But if I did it, anyone can—first you believe, then you achieve.

Now I’m a Beachbody Coach and have dedicated my life to inspiring others to change their lives, reach their goals, and accomplish their dreams before they hit rock bottom like I did. I owe Beachbody everything for giving me my life back and making me who I’ve always wanted to be. Next up: INSANITY The Asylum Volume 2.

Daily Success 2/19/2013 – I was a coffee and sugar junkie

I was at the lowest point in my life. At 47, I was depressed, sick all the time with colds, bronchitis and vertigo from stress. I was a coffee and sugar junkie. I couldn’t bear to see myself without clothes. And I was fed up with my own BS and excuses for the sad shape I found myself in.

When my doctor prescribed anti-depressants that just made me more dizzy and stressed (if you can believe that), a martial arts friend of mine suggested I try this crazy program called P90X. I told myself it was time to try nature’s anti-depressant—endorphins.

Guess what? It worked! P90X fit me like a glove. I was addicted to Tony and his sense of humor. The mix of strength, cardio, and flexibility kept it fun. But what I liked most was that I didn’t have to think about what I was doing each day. I just had to get out of bed and Push Play!

After P90X, I did Insanity and Insanity, The Asylum. I became a Beachbody Coach to “pay it back” for the results I got. And then I tackled P90X2, which took me places I never knew about. The core strength and balance work were mind-blowing. Can you believe it? I could do levers and 4-ball pushups!!!

I am a new man inside and out. I have a new career as a Beachbody Coach that will retire me from my day job and give me the PERFECT vehicle to change other people’s lives in the most profound way.

I WILL NEVER go back to the person that I had become, EVER! I will forever be a Beachbody junkie living a life of passion for health and fitness and helping others do the same. After what happened to me, I owe that to Tony and Beachbody, my Coach and everybody in my Challenge Group who kept me on track!

Daily Success 1/29/2013 – I got into the habit of eating anything and everything

22-Kyle-Shakeology-Insanity-P90X-Asylum

In high school I played offensive line and was expected to be as big as possible, so I got into the habit of eating anything and everything in sight. When my weight crept up to 250 lbs. during my freshman year of college, I felt absolutely awful, but had no idea how to downsize. Then a sports injury cut my athletic dreams, and college days, short. So I moved home to become a firefighter—just like my dad.

But before my First Responder days could begin, I knew I had to lose a ton of weight. I mean, how was I supposed to pull someone out of a burning building when I was too out of shape to get to them in time? With that realization, I vowed to lose weight, get in shape, and not let my poor physical condition be the reason someone didn’t make it out of a fire alive.

I had seen several Beachbody® infomercials on TV and they all promised great things, so I gave a few a try. First I did INSANITY®. Figured I needed something pretty insane to start peeling off those pounds. Then I moved on to P90X®, and just recently completed INSANITY: THE ASYLUM® Vol. 1. I also drank Shakeology®, which gave me a ton of energy and helped me slim down.

Between those three incredible workout programs, Shakeology, and completely revamping my diet, I lost 50 pounds, went from a 40” waist down to 31”, and shredded 20% of my body fat. Now I have as little body fat as an elite athlete, sporting an amazingly low 6%. I can see muscles that I didn’t even know I had. Finally have abs. And am smaller now that I was in 6th grade! Old friends don’t even recognize me anymore because I’ve lost so much weight. And just recently, I visited an aunt whom I hadn’t seen in awhile and she had no idea who I was. WOW. Talk about change.

Now I’m a fit and healthy firefighter. I haven’t had to rescue anyone from a burning building yet, but when that day comes, I know I’m now physically capable of doing it. And there’s no better feeling than that! I’m a completely different person now, and boy does it feel great.

Daily Success 12/28/2012 – The birth of his daughter made Roberto realize how sedentary his life was…

21-RobertoC-Insanity-Asylum

My life was sedentary and I didn’t pay enough attention to exercise. I was always tired, weak, and could not rest well. In short, I had very little discipline with myself.

My daughter’s birth motivated me to change because it made me realize I was not alone anymore. I wondered what would happen if one day she wanted to play with me. I didn’t know what to do, I can’t be so active and I’m always tired! Besides, I had an injury that made me gain a bit more weight. That’s when I decided to take control over my life.

I started the Beachbody Challenge™, and little by little my entire body changed. I lost 61 lbs in one round of INSANITY® and 17 lbs in one of Asylum. My blood pressure is at its best level, the cholesterol, in short, all my body underwent a great change and I lost a total of 80 lbs. Shaun T is the best motivational trainer, thanks to his motivation I have a better shape and a better health to keep telling everybody what INSANITY has done for me.

Daily Success 12/15/2012 – Dave had fallen back into bad habits…

I had always been in reasonable shape, but as I got older, old, unhealthy habits slowly creeped back into my life. I stopped working out. And when I realized that I had no energy, was gaining weight, and just didn’t seem myself, I knew I was headed for disaster.

So I fought back. I decided to accept the Beachbody Challenge and take control. It was time to become a happier, healthier person. But I hate taking the easy way, so I challenged myself to enter the Asylum with Shaun T.

But I didn’t just want to get fit in 30 days, I wanted to go beyond any level of fitness I had experienced before. I WANTED TO REACH PEAK ATHLETIC ABILITY!

In the beginning, my goal was just to keep up. That meant digging deep. It meant leaning on my Team Beachbody Coach for support and the occasional “kick in the butt.” And it meant fueling up with Shakeology.

Guess what? It worked. In just 30 days, I achieved remarkable levels of endurance, strength, agility and energy. What surprised me most was the huge improvement in my long jump. Now I know I can take on any challenge and reach my goals! Thanks Shaun T. And thanks Beachbody!
